Habbo Hotel Happenings Friday 3rd August 2001 Firstly my apologies to all you regular Happenings readers - last week's edition was thwarted by email gremlins. I'm writing online this week to make sure you get to read my ramblings, and we're working to get Happenings back in your inboxes as soon as we can. :) LOAF, HANG AND LIFT Not the instructions for a new fitness fad, but different ways to chill in our new public rooms. Now, in addition to the Main Lobby, you can visit the lobbies on the other three floors of the hotel. So, if loafing about is your style, then pop down to the Basement Lobby. If you prefer to hang out with your mates, then try the Median Lobby, in the middle (ah, so that's where the name came from). Or if your spirits have sunk down into your trainers, the Skylight Lobby's great views and airy feel will help lift them. And every lobby has a good quota of Room-O-Matics, so you can get a private room while you loaf, hang and chill to your heart's content. BTW: the lifts are out of order at the moment. We're waiting for a lift engineer, but seems it's a busy time for them. As soon as they're fixed, I'll let you know. AND RELAX... I've taken time out this week to chill in this heat and I've found the perfect place - The Waterfront. It's a truly tranquil oasis, where you can watch the ducks splash about and think soothing thoughts. I like to go there on my own - it's pretty good for a bit of lonesome loafing! For the more social Habbos among you, I'd recommend the 'popstars concert'. If you've got a good memory for lyrics (or a handy mag with them printed in), you can treat everyone to your fave song. Don't forget to project your voice properly - the 'shout' works well as a microphone... LOADSA MATES I knew it was tempting fate - I should never have asked how many friends is too many in the last newsletter. Seems it is 751. 750 or less is just fine and dandy. Or at least this is what the Habbo Hotel techies reckon - they've put a temporary limit on the number of Habbos allowed in the hotel at a time. This should help keep the hotel running smoothly while we prepare our hulking great new servers. And then we will be able to let everyone in at once (oops, I've done it again - OK Fate, come and get me...). So, if you can't get in, check the front page - if there are close to 750 Habbos in the hotel, that'll be why. Pop to the loo, make a cuppa, play with the cat (only if you want to, of course), and try again in a few minutes - there's lots of comings and goings at Habbo Hotel, so you'll get in soon enough. That's all from me this week - if you've got any ideas about what you'd like to see in the hotel please email us. Happy Habboing! The Manager Habbo Hotel |
